275 former Judges, officials slam U.S. international religious freedom report

275 former judges, civil servants, and armed forces veterans have criticized a recent report by the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) that recommended a ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). They called the report "highly motivated" and accused USCIRF of bias and vested interests in promoting an anti-Bharat agenda. The signatories urged the U.S. government to conduct background checks on contributors to the report, claiming it is funded by American taxpayers who deserve transparency. They emphasized that India's robust judicial system provides limited scope for religious rights violations.
