Tribal council chiefs enter Assam electoral fray
Tuliram Ronghang and Tankeswar Rabha, the CEM of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) and the RHAC counterpart, respectively, are vying for seats in the Assam Assembly as candidates for the Bharatiya Janata Party. They join other candidates including Sewli Mohilary, wife of Hagrama Mohilary, the chief of the Bodoland Territorial Council. The elections will be held on April 9th with results announced on May 4th.
