Rift widens among Bihar Opposition after Rajya Sabha poll defeat

Following the recent Rajya Sabha elections in Bihar, where the ruling NDA secured all five seats, a rift has emerged within the Opposition Mahagathbandhan coalition. Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the RJD, faces criticism from both Congress and the Communist Party of India-Marxist-Leninist (Liberation) for absenteeism by three Congress MLAs and one RJD MLA. The opposition alliance failed to win a single seat despite support from other parties like AIMIM and BSP. The ruling NDA has challenged the RJD to expel its absentee MLA, Faisal Rahman.
