## CPI Blasts Government Over LPG Shortage and Price Hikes The Communist Party of India (CPI) has criticized the Centre and state governments over the alleged shortage of cooking gas and rising prices of LPG cylinders. S. Nagaraju, Chittoor district secretary for the CPI, stated that the situation is severely impacting common people and middle-class households. He accused the BJP-led government of increasing LPG prices due to the ongoing war, adding to the financial burden on struggling citizens already facing high costs for essential goods. Nagaraju also alleged that despite official claims of no shortage, consumers are unable to obtain cylinders even after booking them. He pointed out that small businesses like tea stalls and tiffin centres are also suffering from a lack of commercial LPG cylinders, forcing some establishments to close, leaving workers without income.
