## Karnataka Chief Minister Confident for Byelections Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed confidence that byelection dates for Bagalkot and Davangere Assembly constituencies will be announced within a week. He assured the public that the Congress party is well-prepared for the upcoming elections, emphasizing that the final decision on who receives the party ticket would come from the high command. Siddaramaiah also addressed concerns regarding land acquisition compensation for the Upper Krishna Project, stating that disbursement of cheques to affected farmers will begin soon and be completed within three to four years. He refuted BJP's accusations of election-motivated actions by highlighting ongoing projects like the Bagalkot medical college foundation laying ceremony and statue releases. On the issue of LPG supply, Siddaramaiah clarified that it is a matter of responsibility at the national level and the state government is merely distributing what is provided by the Centre.
