The Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi (KMDK) and the ruling DMK have agreed to a seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly election. The agreement, signed by DMK President and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and KMDK General Secretary E.R. Eswaran, will see the KMDK contest in two constituencies on the DMK's 'Rising Sun' symbol. This follows a previous 2021 election where the KMDK contested three seats under the same symbol, with only Eswaran securing victory from Tiruchengode.
