
T.N. CM Stalin commissions first unit of Udangudi Thermal Power Plant, inaugurates various projects
M.K. Stalin, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, commissioned the first unit of a new supercritical thermal power plant and inaugurated various infrastructure projects on Friday (March 13, 2026). The projects included works by Tamil Nadu Power Generation Corporation Limited (TNPGCL), the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA), the Directorate of Town Panchayats, and the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC). Mr. Stalin also laid the foundation for new projects by the GCC, Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, and the Directorate of Municipal Administration.
