Announce ₹3 lakh for each family, construct houses on same land: KTR on Velugumatla houses demolitions

K.T. Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), criticized the Congress Government for demolishing houses of poor families in Velugumatla, Khammam, alleging it was a politically motivated act to benefit "benamis" of certain ministers. He claimed that the land was donated by philanthropists in the 1950s and was occupied by Congress leaders before being given to the poor with pattas. Rama Rao demanded the government withdraw cases against BRS leaders, provide financial compensation for lost belongings, and construct new houses on the same land.
