Alleging Kerala’s neglect in PM Modi’s event, LDF protests and symbolically opens Talapady-Chengala NH stretch in Kasaragod
Leaders of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kasaragod, Kerala, protested and symbolically opened a completed stretch of national highway on Wednesday. They alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official inauguration ceremony in Kochi ignored the state and its public works minister, P.A. Mohamed Riyas. The LDF leaders claimed the project was completed in August 2025 and dedicated it to the public without waiting for a formal inauguration. They also accused the Union government of attempting to claim credit and create political controversy.
