Telangana: BRS flays Speaker’s verdict on MLAs disqualification petitions
Potential abuse of power and suppression of justice are alleged.
Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leaders have criticized the Telangana Speaker's ruling on disqualification petitions against two MLAs, Kadiyam Srihari and Danam Nagender. Former Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy accused the Congress party of trampling on democracy by granting a clean chit to Nagender, who contested as an MP on a Congress ticket, and Srihari, who campaigned for the party using its symbol. He also criticized Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of abandoning the six guarantees in Telangana and using his power for personal gain.
