Indian hotels grapple with gas shortage as West Asia conflict prolongs

Hoteliers across various states are reporting shortages of cooking gas, prompting concerns about business closures. The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) and other hospitality associations have urged the government to ensure uninterrupted supply, warning that a lack of fuel will force many restaurants to shut down. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has established a committee to review supply issues and increased domestic LPG production, but shortages persist, leading to price hikes and impacting businesses like paying guest accommodations in Hyderabad.
