Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah flags commercial LPG disruption in Bengaluru
Siddaramaiah, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, has written to Hardeep Singh Puri, the Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, requesting urgent intervention to address a disruption in commercial LPG supply to hotels and restaurants in Bengaluru. The issue arose after a March 9th order by the Ministry prioritized domestic LPG production, leading to an unintended shortage in commercial supplies. Mr. Siddaramaiah noted that this disruption would severely impact businesses, including hotels, catering establishments, and students who rely on these services for daily meals. He urged the Union Government to ensure adequate supply of commercial LPG to these establishments.
