
Tamil Nadu Assembly election: AIADMK leader says ‘no information’ amid reports of bid to bring Vijay’s TVK into NDA
K.P. Munusamy, deputy general secretary of the AIADMK, stated he had no information about renewed attempts to accommodate the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), led by actor Vijay, in the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Edappadi K. Palaniswami, the AIADMK general secretary, previously reacted matter-of-factly to TVK's recent announcements for women. The BJP has urged the TVK chief to join the NDA, while former AIADMK Minister Sellur K. Raju blamed the ruling DMK for orchestrating a smear campaign against Vijay. The Jana Sena Party (JSP) president, K. Pawan Kalyan, had previously attempted to bring the TVK into the NDA.
