China plans to increase spending on emerging scientific and technological industries, public infrastructure, and other key sectors in 2026. Finance Minister Lan Fo’an announced a national budget allocation of nearly 1.3 trillion yuan for science and technology, representing a 7.1% increase from 2025. The government also aims to expand spending on education, social security, healthcare, and housing security. These plans come as China's GDP is projected to grow by more than 6 trillion yuan this year.
