Manipur BJP MLA’s burial yet to take place, 15 days after death

Vungzagin Valte, a former Manipur MLA and advisor on tribal affairs, died in a Gurugram hospital from injuries sustained during a mob attack in Imphal on May 4, 2023. His burial is pending due to demands by the Zomi Coordination Committee (ZCC) for an investigation into the assault, political solutions to the conflict, and justice for Valte's death. Losii Dikho, the Deputy CM of Manipur, met with Valte's family to discuss these demands and the government's commitment to pursuing justice.
