AIADMK to protest against ruling DMK on March 13 over failure to fulfil transport workers’ demands

Edappadi K. Palaniswami, general secretary of the AIADMK, announced a demonstration on March 13th by Anna Thozhirsanga Peravai, the transport department workers’ union, in Chennai to protest against the DMK government's alleged failure to address worker demands. The protest will be led by former Minister D. Jayakumar and is expected to take place in front of the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) headquarters. Palaniswami claimed that past AIADMK governments prioritized the working class's needs, while he accused the current DMK government of failing to fulfill promises made during the 2021 elections.
