Budget: ₹490-crore project cleared to address Hanur water crisis
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced a ₹490-crore project to address the drinking water crisis in Hanur taluk of Chamarajanagar district. The Uduthorehalla project will lift water from the Cauvery River and distribute it to tanks, lakes, and check dams, irrigating 12,000 acres. The proposal was submitted by Sunil Bose, Chamarajanagar MP, who had previously expressed confidence in its approval.
