Owaisi criticises govt. over rising anti-Muslim sentiment and silence on U.S. actions

Asaduddin Owaisi, president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), criticized the Union government for allegedly funding organizations that promote hatred against Muslims and target them. He accused the government of giving ₹63 lakh to a "dubious" organization called Sanatan Sanstha, which he claimed promoted calls to discard the Constitution and convert Muslims. Owaisi also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence on the torpedoing of an Iranian frigate near Sri Lanka and alleged that the ruling party frequently raises issues concerning Muslims but remains silent when such statements are made by foreign entities. He urged the government to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident and de-escalate tensions in West Asia.
