Karnataka Budget: Mysuru gets healthcare, aerospace and tourism projects
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced a series of projects for Mysuru during the State Budget 2026-27, focusing on healthcare, industry, tourism, infrastructure, and social welfare. These initiatives include expanding the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, establishing an aerospace park near the airport, and setting up a Schneider Electric Youth Impact Centre in Mysuru. The budget also allocated funds for a modern cycling velodrome, a nature interpretation center at the Mysuru Zoo, and a film city project near Mysuru. Additionally, Mysuru will receive funding for e-courts, exhibition grounds infrastructure, laundries for Madivala community members, post-matric hostels, working women’s hostels, and livestock development projects.
