Formal commissioning of Pallivasal extension hydro scheme expected this month
Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) is set to commission the Pallivasal Extension Scheme, adding 60 MW of capacity to the state's power grid, this month. The project, originally conceived in 2007 and designed as an extension to Kerala's first hydro project, was delayed by technical glitches, geological challenges, and contract terminations. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is expected to inaugurate the scheme.
