
First rock blast for Kerala’s tunnel road project successfully completed under safety measures
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the first controlled rock blast at the site of the proposed Anakkampoyil-Kalladi-Meppadi tunnel road project in Kozhikode district, Kerala. The event was attended by several officials and dignitaries including Forest Minister A.K. Saseendran, Linto Joseph, MLA, and Thamarassery Bishop Remigiose Inchananiyil. The project, a flagship infrastructure initiative of the Kerala government, will connect Kozhikode and Wayanad districts via an 8.73-km twin tunnel road and is being implemented under the supervision of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited.
