Days ahead of polls, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal to get new Governors
R. N. Ravi was appointed the Governor of West Bengal, while C.V. Ananda Bose resigned from his position. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar was given additional charge of Tamil Nadu ahead of Assembly polls. The Rashtrapati Bhavan announced these appointments following resignations by Kavinder Gupta, the Ladakh Lieutenant-Governor, and C.V. Ananda Bose. Amit Shah informed Mamata Banerjee about the appointment of R. N. Ravi as Governor of West Bengal.
