Tunnel road project: controlled rock blasts to begin on March 6

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will launch controlled rock blasts at the Anakkampoyil-Kalladi-Meppadi tunnel road project site on Friday, March 6, 2026. The event will be live streamed at the Muthappanpuzha ALP school and attended by Minister for Public Works P.A. Mohamed Riyas, along with other ministers and officials. The project, a flagship infrastructure initiative of the Kerala government, has received final stage-II clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and will be overseen by Konkan Railway Corporation Limited.
