NCP (SP) scotches merger speculations
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has officially dismissed merger talks with the Nationalist Congress Party, stating that they are no longer under consideration. Jayant Patil, NCP (SP) State president, clarified that Ajit Pawar's death had ended any possibility of a merger and that there is no need for assurances about the party's allegiance to the INDIA Bloc.
