Hindi words removed from entrance arch at Tiruchi Railway Divisional Office following political furore

DMK cadre and office bearers, led by Tiruchi Mayor M. Anbazhagan, smeared black paint on the newly built entrance arch at the office of the Divisional Railway Manager in Tiruchi. The words “Kartavya Dwar” written in Hindi, Tamil and English were removed following a political row over the use of the Hindi term. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin criticized the practice, calling it "one language – three scripts" and accusing the BJP government of imposing Hindi names on various institutions. He also shared a cartoon depicting Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “naming everything in Hindi and Sanskrit” and “wearing a Tamil mask.
