Water supply disruption in Thiruvananthapuram

Kerala Water Authority (KWA) announced water supply disruptions to several areas in the Thiruvananthapuram district on Monday and Tuesday, March 2nd and 3rd, 2026, due to arrangements for the Attukal Pongala festival. The KWA advised consumers to take precautionary measures and will deploy tanker lorries, temporary taps, and a control room to ensure adequate water supply during the festival. The BJP staged a protest demanding urgent intervention from the Chief Minister and Water Resources Minister.
