Kerala CM to open first phase of Meppadi township project in Wayanad on March 1
Pinarayi Vijayan, Kerala's Chief Minister, will open the first phase of the Meppadi township for survivors of the Mundakkai-Chooralmala landslides on Sunday. K. Rajan, Revenue Minister, announced that 178 houses will be handed over to the displaced residents. Each house is a 1,000 sq ft structure with a strong foundation and includes three bedrooms, a hall, dining area, study room, kitchen, store room, and sit-out. The township aims to provide modern amenities like roads, electricity, water supply, healthcare facilities, and community spaces for over 1,662 people once completed.
