AIDWA supports Anganwadi workers’ strike in Ongole
AIDWA-Prakasam district members joined the Andhra Pradesh Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union (affiliated to the CITU) in a hunger strike on Friday, demanding increased salaries for workers. Kankanala Ramadevi, AIDWA Prakasam District Chief Secretary, criticized leaders who promised wage increases but failed to act after taking power. Gantenapalli Venkateswarlu, CITU district leader, accused the coalition government of not implementing strike agreements and weakening the ICDS scheme.
