B. S. Yediyurappa, a veteran BJP leader, was honored in Shikaripur on his 83rd birthday. He expressed his goal of returning the BJP to power in Karnataka and urged party leaders to cooperate with him. He highlighted accomplishments like the Bhagya Laksmi scheme and irrigation projects that benefited communities and farmers. B. Y. Vijayendra, son of Yediyurappa, recalled his father's long political career, thanking Shikaripur residents for introducing him to the country.
