CPI(M) likely to retain Kuttiyadi, Perambra seats in upcoming Assembly polls

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] is expected to retain the Kuttiyadi and Perambra Assembly segments in Kozhikode district, according to sources. The Kerala Congress (Mani), an LDF ally, is eyeing these seats due to their influential community votes. T.P. Ramakrishnan, a senior CPI(M) leader, has been winning from Perambra since 2016. LDF convener Mukkom Mohammed believes the CPI(M) will retain both seats and that the KC(M) is unlikely to get another seat in Kozhikode district.
