Kerala passes Nativity Card Bill; what is it?
The Kerala Assembly passed nine Bills, including the Nativity Card Bill, 2026, during its final session. The bills were passed without discussion due to the absence of the Congress-led UDF Opposition. Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal called the passage of the Nativity Card Bill a "historic moment" as it will allow people from the state to declare themselves Keralites with the issuance of a nativity card.
