
IDFC First Bank fraud case flagged in Haryana Assembly

Following the revelation of a ₹590 crore fraud by IDFC First Bank linked to the Haryana government's accounts, the Opposition Congress party raised concerns during the state assembly budget session. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini confirmed that a detailed probe has been ordered and assured that all funds are safe. The bank acknowledged irregularities committed by employees and initiated action against them, while an FIR was registered. Mr. Saini stated that departmental funds being held in banks is not new and the investigation will determine if any individual or employee was involved.
