AIMIM delegation seeks release of minority youth over Banswada incident
Legislators from the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen met with Mohammed Azharuddin, Minister for Minorities Welfare, and Mahesh Bhagwat, Additional Director General of Police, to discuss a communal incident in Banswada, Kamareddy district. The delegation submitted a representation alleging that several young men from the minority community were falsely implicated under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita after the incident on February 20th. They requested the immediate release of the eight youth arrested and urged for a fair investigation, compensation for damaged businesses, and action against those responsible for the violence.
