Political heatwave rises in Pathanamthitta as UDF eyes a return

The United Democratic Front (UDF) is aiming for a clean sweep in the five Assembly seats of Pathanamthitta, Kerala. The Congress-led coalition is focusing on selecting candidates based on public support and winnability after securing significant gains in recent local body elections. The Left Democratic Front (LDF) is expected to field its sitting MLAs except for Adoor, where the selection process is ongoing. Indian Socialist Janata Dal State president Mathew T. Thomas will seek re-election from Thiruvalla.
