BRS focussed on Kaleshwaram and ignored all other projects: CM Revanth Reddy
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy addressed a review meeting on the Devadula Project, emphasizing that the Godavari water issue was being politicized and baseless allegations would not help in achieving agricultural prosperity for North Telangana. He highlighted the need to complete existing projects like Devadula, Pranahita, SRSP, and Kaleshwaram, assuring completion within two years despite financial constraints. Revanth Reddy directed officials to expedite repairs to the Devadula Project pumps, convene a special meeting during the Assembly session on Devadula-related issues, and submit a report on water supply from Ramappa Cheruvu to Jampanna Vagu. He also stated that all Godavari projects from Tummidi Hatti to Bhadrachalam would be completed while asserting that Telangana's success in paddy production refuted claims of previous government's "illusions."
