Nitish Kumar directs Transport Department to make Bihar roads safer for pedestrians under ‘Saat Nischary-3’
Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, issued directives to improve pedestrian safety and convenience across the state. The measures are part of the Saat Nischay-3 program, launched in November 2025, with the goal of making everyday life easier for citizens through technology and good governance. The government aims to create footpaths, zebra crossings, foot overbridges, escalators, and underpasses at designated locations, as well as provide driver training on pedestrian rights. The Transport Department will also identify accident-prone areas and install CCTV cameras.
