EC publishes final voters list for Chhattisgarh; SC-ST and minorities’ names deleted intentionally, alleges Congress
The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the completion of Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Chhattisgarh, adding nearly 2.35 lakh voters after claims and objections were submitted. The final list now stands at 18,730,914 voters, a net increase of 2,34,994 from the previous draft. However, the Congress party has accused the ECI and the ruling BJP of colluding to delete names from the voter list, particularly those belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and minorities.
