Rahul Gandhi death threat: Congress blames ‘toxic’ BJP-RSS discourse
Congress leaders condemned a video showing a man claiming to be associated with the Karni Sena issuing death threats against Rahul Gandhi and 25 other MPs. K.C. Venugopal, Congress general secretary, accused the BJP of fostering a "toxic culture of animosity" in national discourse. The Kota Superintendent of Police detained the man and is questioning him. Pawan Khera, head of the party's media department, called the video a part of a larger plan to demonize the Opposition and legitimize violence against political rivals. The Congress also questioned the government's response to the video and alleged a deliberate attempt to amplify claims that some of its MPs had verbally abused Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
