Tamil Nadu Assembly election: DMDK joins DMK-led alliance
DMDK, founded by actor Vijayakant, joined the DMK alliance on Thursday. Premallatha Vijayakant, DMDK leader, met with M.K. Stalin, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president, at the party's headquarters in Chennai. The alliance was finalized after 10 years of wishes from Vijayakant, who passed away in 2016. Udhyanidhi Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister, and other senior DMK leaders were present. Stalin expressed his happiness over the alliance and welcomed the DMDK leadership to contribute to Tamil Nadu's development.
