YSRCP stages protest in Legislative Council as Chairman rejects its adjournment motion on TTD ghee row
YSRCP members protested in the Legislative Council demanding an adjournment motion to discuss alleged adulterated ghee supplied to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). MLCs K.R.J. Bharat and Sipayi Subramanyam invoked Rule 58 of the Council’s Rules of Procedure, but the Council Chairman Koyye Moshenu Raju denied the motion. The Leader of Opposition, Botcha Satyanarayana, alleged links between Heritage Foods Limited, owned by the family members of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and the ghee supply to the TTD before 2019. Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu and other ministers refuted these allegations, stating that Heritage Foods had no direct or indirect role in the issue and challenged the YSRCP to provide evidence. The protests continued throughout the day, leading to the Chairman adjourning the House.
