Kerala's TDB appoints task force to rectify anomalies in Global Ayyappa Sangamam audit report

Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) president K Jayakumar announced the formation of a task force to address discrepancies in the audit report regarding expenses for the Global Ayyappa Sangamam at Sabarimala. The board admitted errors in not fully answering auditor queries, leading to skepticism and allegations of lack of transparency. The task force will compare internal records with vendor statements to clarify inconsistencies flagged by the High Court-appointed Special Commissioner. Adani has pledged a ₹1 crore sponsorship, but the TDB is facing a ₹1 crore shortfall due to unfulfilled commitments from other sponsors. The board hopes to clear the air before the next hearing on February 17th.
