Congress gets Mayor’s post in PCC president Mahesh Goud’s Nizamabad

Congress candidates won mayoral positions in several municipalities across Telangana, securing victories despite the BJP emerging as the single largest party. In Nizamabad, Kuragayala Uma Rani was elected Mayor and Salma Tahseen became Deputy Mayor for AIMIM. In Nalgonda, Burri Chaitanya Srinivas Reddy was elected as the first-ever mayor of the municipality, while in Kothagudem, a shared mayoral and deputy mayor position was agreed upon between the CPI and Congress. In Mahabubnagar, Gumala Mamata and Marepally Surender Reddy were elected as Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively.
