Kanthapuram meets Modi, seeks development of AMU Malappuram campus

Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musliar, Grand Mufti of India, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday to discuss issues affecting the Muslim community. The meeting covered topics such as minority welfare and international developments. Musliar requested equitable development, including balanced regional growth, fair resource allocation based on population size, and the restoration of minority education welfare schemes. He also advocated for the development of the Malappuram campus of Aligarh Muslim University and protection of historic mosques and Islamic heritage sites.
