Andhra Pradesh partnering with Gates Foundation to drive AI-led healthcare reforms: Health Minister

Andhra Pradesh is implementing comprehensive healthcare reforms with technical support from the Gates Foundation. The state aims to achieve universal access to affordable healthcare through modern technology and systemic changes, including early disease detection systems, personalized health profiling, and expanded digital health services. The partnership also involves a high-power expert advisory group, a pilot project called 'Sanjeevani,' and initiatives focused on AI-based technologies in healthcare. Bill Gates, co-founder of the Gates Foundation, is scheduled to visit Amaravati on Monday (February 16) to review the state's progress and discuss future action plans. The government also launched a 'MedTech Challenge' to identify AI-enabled medical devices and solutions, with 20 shortlisted technologies being tested in government hospitals.
