
Modi makes historic landing at Emergency Landing Facility in Assam
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Northeast India’s first Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) in Dibrugarh, Assam. The 4.2-km dual-use runway, built on the Moran Bypass, can accommodate fighter jets up to 40 tonnes and transport aircraft up to 74 tonnes. Designed in coordination with the Indian Air Force, the facility aims to enhance air traffic capabilities in the region.
