
PM Modi arrives on day-long visit to Assam
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Assam on Saturday to inaugurate an emergency landing facility (ELF) and launch projects worth over ₹5,500 crore. He was received by Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, and senior officials of the state government at Chabua airfield. Modi will inaugurate a ₹100-crore facility in Dibrugarh district, the first of its kind in the northeast, before witnessing an aerial display by the Indian Air Force.
