Distribution of Indira Kits may begin in March, says Muniyappa

Minister for Food and Civil Supplies K.H. Muniyappa announced that the distribution of Indira Kits, containing tur dal, oil, sugar, and salt, will begin by March to 1.24 lakh cardholders. The decision to replace five kgs of rice under the Anna Bhagya scheme with Indira Kits was made due to concerns about misuse of rice. Mr. Muniyappa also stated that the government has begun procuring ragi (finger millet) and requested officials to ensure only high-quality ragi is procured.
