Telangana Municipal Poll | Initial results indicate Congress in lead, BRS in second position
Initial results from the Telangana Municipal Elections-2026 show Congress leading with 240 wins, followed by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) at 140. The BJP secured 37 victories, while independent candidates won in 14 wards. The elections were held across 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations. Returning Officers handed over certificates to the winning candidates after the results were declared.
