Hosur airport not recommended to prioritise defence projects of national importance: Union Civil Aviation Minister
Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu stated that the Hosur airport project proposal from Tamil Nadu has been rejected to prioritize defense projects by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Airport. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has repeatedly denied airspace relaxation requests, despite a site-clearance request from the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO). The state government is expected to resubmit its proposal soon.
