Belagavi DCCB warns of legal action against former MP Ramesh Katti for ‘false claims’

Anna Saheb Jolle, former MP and President of Belagavi District Central Co-operative Bank, issued a legal notice to Mahantesh Kadadi, a Congress leader, for spreading false rumors about the bank's financial health. Jolle refuted claims that the bank was on the verge of closure, stating that loans were given with proper security and due diligence. He also defended the bank's loan to the Soubhagyalaxmi Sugar Factory, which is managed by members of the Jarkiholi family. Ramesh Katti, a former chairperson of the bank, has been criticized for questioning recent loans issued by the institution. Jolle emphasized that the bank had disbursed the highest agricultural loans in Karnataka and was on track for progress.
